Saturday, August 06, 2005 ( macbeth @ 11:53 am ) went to see macbeth play yesterday, at the DBS arts centre. went with lihui since ser couldn't go, especially since she was not feeling well. oh well. the play was quite nice actually. i was impressed by the actors. however, i couldn't really get what they were talking about sometimes since they were projecting their voice, and the words seemed to come out muffled. all i have to say is lady macbeth shouldn't wear that tight dress. she's a good actress, but her dress was so tight... ... i like the three witches. they were quite funny. one of the witches looked a bit like that guy who acted as the third disciple in journey to the west, except that she was a girl. i guess it was the make-up, and her expression. comic relief, i think. to be perfectly frank, i have never like the play macbeth. it's a play about ambition, and greed, and i dun like it. i also dun like hamlet, because so many people died in that play of revenge, even hamlet. i mean, the good guy died too? at least in macbeth, it was the bad guy who died. but ms nathan agreed that shakespeare was the first person who invented camouflaging. haha. ms nathan fell asleep during the play. never thought i would really see people dozing during a play, but i guessed that she was too tired. went home very tired and very late last night. i kept having weird dreams nowadays. why? and my dreams are always a bit spooky, and eerie. sighx. 3x3eunt. 0 comments |
