( 300 @ 5:17 pm )

i watched 300 yesterday.

seriously?

the movie was quite gross because of all the gore and blood, u know, when their heads were cut off, and then flew up into the air...

yup, those parts.

but the rest of the movie, i can't help but watch, because it is so riveting. and it is a true legend.

300 spartans against an army of 10000 persians and asian armies. and these 300 managed to hold on for three days, THREE days. maybe that was wat kept my eyes glued to the screen.

there was even this part when the spartans returned to a village which had been attacked by the persians. guess where all the dead bodies were...entwined onto a tree.

and guess wat the spartans did to the people they killed in battle...built a wall of dead bodies.

like i said, the movie was gruesome and bloody and disgusting, but it is so much about human nature, about the spartan's love for their country, about their fight for survival, that i couldn't help but sympathize with them. and yet, their ending appeared so much like a painting that i realized how much this part of the history is still remembered.

overall though, asians do not appear disfigured, nor do they need to wear masks when they fight, especially one that appeared like skulls. but, lack of the appearances needed...haha.

i understand perfectly their costumes.

3x3eunt.
