and i came to realise how much i know about people and how much i don't. 

i don't wish to know too much about people. it spoils my illusions of them. 

but i want to know them well, so that i can proudly say i do know them as they want to be known.

i see my friends floating away on the river of time, not nile k? TIME.

and i am still firmly grounded on the shore, sitting there watching them go. 

i don't need to talk all the time. 

i just want to know that i'm thought of. 

i don't mind being solitary, providing space. 

i just want to know i can intrude on that space sometimes.
